THE STATE INDUSTRIAL - HUMANITARIAN COLLEGE OF NOVOCHERKASSK
The State Indastrial - Humanitarian College of Novocherkassk was founded in 1946 by the decision of the USSR Council of Ministers (formely it was know as the Electromechanical Technical School, the Electromechanical College, the Polytechnical College). Its base enterprise is the Joint Stock Company named Scientific and Production Association "Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Works".
About 25 thousand experts have graduated from the College. Among them you may find important industrial workers, scientists, heads of enterprises of different typest of ownership. Today the College is the lagest Russian secondary vocational school of higher qualificational level. It is providing instruction of specialists on the multi-level multi-type basis according to authors' (individual) curricula and programmes. Systematic investigations of the educational services market enable the College to respond promptly to the labor market conditions due to the permanent modernization of vocational curricula.
The College is training future experts in 45 specialities and at 4 faculties :

The College is developing international cooperation. During the fast 15 years it has been exchanging groups of students with the Engineering School and Training Vocational Centre from the German cities of Glashutte and Iserlohn. Partnership relations aimed at the creation of a Russian-British Educational Establishment and Regional Centre for open ( distant ) edication, are being maintained with the Carmarthen College of Technology and Arts ( Great Britain ).
The College is included into the project У American Model Regional College for the Russian Federation У. We train experts for Ukraine, Moldova, Abkhazia.
The College prossesses an up-to-date training and material base; its staff is made of highly-qualified teachers adout 20 percent of whose number are scientists, Honoured Secondary School Teachers , excellent workers of the secondary vocational education of the Russian Federation.
